Going to school for 11-year-old boy Dong-ku with an IQ of 60 gives him the
greatest joy in life. For Dong-ku’s father, Jin-gyu, who runs a fried chicken
joint, nothing can make him happier if his son graduates from elementary
school. All Dong-ku does at school is delivering water to his classmates, but
he always looks happy doing this. But things turn for the worse when the
school wants Dong-ku to move to a special school for disabled children.
Then Jin-gyu learns that Dong-ku could keep going to school if he joins the
baseball team since they lack enough players to keep it in tact. Knowing
nothing about the rules of baseball, Dong-ku starts his school life as a
baseball player, however, the coach gets frustrated by him as the baseball
match approaches. What Dong-ku can do is only delivering water to his
teammates. Meanwhile, the owner of the house keeps pressing Jin-gyu to
move out even though his son just got used to his way to school from home
after practicing for three long years. Dong-ku and Jin-gyu face all these
obstacles to succeed in what may be a small dream for many - graduating
from elementary school.
